Beta-alanine is a non-essential (amino acid that the body can produce on its own) that, in combination with L-histidine, forms carnosine. Increasing carnosine concentration in muscles is crucial for athletes, as carnosine can enhance your ability to engage in more strenuous and prolonged training, as well as prevent the buildup of lactic acid in muscles during exercise, reducing fatigue.
Supplementing with beta-alanine can increase endurance by reducing the effects of fatigue during intense exercise. This can lead to faster progress in strength and muscle mass. Beta-alanine is commonly used by cyclists, triathletes, marathon runners, bodybuilders, and swimmers.
Warning: After consuming Beta-Alanine, you may experience tingling on the skin (paresthesia), but this is a normal reaction of the body and is not dangerous, although it may be uncomfortable for some users.
